Shaun Khan is a civil litigator with a diverse practice primarily focused on complex business, employment discrimination and trust/estate litigation. Shaun has successfully represented both local and international clients throughout Massachusetts in state and federal trial courts, appellate courts, administrative proceedings and mediation. Shaun takes a keen interest in representing clients who have been unlawfully discriminated against by their employer simply because of their religion, national origin, race, gender, age or disability. Shaun also litigates Wage Act claims under G.L. C. 149, §§148 et seq. and defamation cases.

Shaun also routinely represents clients on trust/estate matters that include, breach of fiduciary duty cases and will contests. Shaun is also commonly called upon to represent other law firms, attorneys and court officers in complex matters.

Shaun has been selected as a Massachusetts “Rising Star” by New England “Super Lawyers” Magazine and Boston Magazine in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021, a distinction that only 2.5% of attorneys in Massachusetts receive. Shaun is also the former President of the New England Muslim Bar Association.

Representative matters

  • Represented multiple clients in all stages of litigation against billion and million dollar corporations for unlawful employment discrimination based on religion, race, national origin, sex, gender, pregnancy, age and disability that resulted in favorable outcomes.

  • Routinely represents fiduciaries, including attorneys, in complex trust matters.

  • Routinely obtains pre-trial security in matters, including preliminary injunctions and attachments.

  • Obtained bench trial verdict for commercial gas station owner on a breach of contract claim.

  • Successfully represented 50% owner of closely held multi-million dollar corporation during a three-week jury trial resulting in a favorable verdict.

  • Represented gas station owner against national corporation during a week-long trial in Federal Court that ultimately resulted in settlement.

  • Successfully represented international client, defeating summary judgment, in complex trust/estate matter that eventually resolved in favorable settlement.

  • Has been appointed a Special Master by the Probate and Family Court in the Commonwealth.

  • Has acted as a Mediator in complex matters.

  • Successfully settled contentious inter-family multi-million dollar trust dispute prior to filing a lawsuit.

  • Successfully litigated and eventually settled construction disputes under G.L. c. 142A for both Homeowners and Contractors.

  • Represented a large corporation and businessman and favorably resolved a decade long litigation spanning different State and Federal Courts.

  • Represented numerous clients on G.L. c. 93A and G.L. c. 176D claims.
